Brazilian forward Rodrygo spoke to the Real Madrid official media ahead of the Manchester City game. The ex-Santos man talked about his idol. "It'd mean a lot for me to overtake my idol Ronaldo. I hope to score a lot more goals".

Real Madrid's Brazilian forward Rodrygo said "it's a dream" to be amongst the Madrid side's top scorers in the Champions League, the competition which has a special place in his heart, and the one in which he hopes to overtake compatriot Ronaldo Nazario.

"It's a dream to be a part of the top 9 highest scorers in Real Madrid history in the Champions League. I hope to score a lot more goals, I want to keep going up the positions in the ranking. For me, it would mean a lot to overtake Ronaldo, who is an idol for me, from Brazil and all of our generations", he said to the club's media.

There's no ceiling to Rodrygo's potential, and the Brazilian forward is coming into the Champions League semi-final in his best form. 

"This season is going really well for me, everything's fruit of my hard work and training. I'm trying to improve, at the club and at home, it's natural that I score more goals and got more assists... It's all because of my hardwork", he added.

He'll certainly be hoping to add to his collection tonight, as the 'Merengues' host Pep Guardiola's Manchester City in what has been billed as one of the games of the season in Europe.
