After being released from Sevilla, Isco Alarcon was on the verge of joining Union Berlin, but the talks did not come to fruition. After a period of inactivity, the Andalusian player could return to La Liga as he is very close to joining Rayo Vallecano.

Isco Alarcon's career became a little-known after his time at Sevilla. The Spain international finished his contract with Real Madrid in June 2022 and left the club with no less than five Champions League titles under his belt.

The Andalusian player joined Sevilla and sought the playing time he did not have in his last year at Madrid with Julen Lopetegui at the helm. Circumstances and a controversy at the club caused the midfielder and Sevilla to part ways.

Since January, the former Real Madrid player has had a period of inactivity, but Rayo Vallecano appeared on his horizon as a possible destionation. Now, 'Mundo Deportivo' confirmed that the Andalusian is very close to signing.

He has prioritised continuing to compete in La Liga and, above all, continuing to live with his family in Madrid and at a club where he can be away from the spotlight. Moreover, if he reaches his best level, he could be a great signing for Andoni Iraola's team.
