Zinedine Zidane was awarded the 'Onze d'Or' for best coach of the season and French publication 'Onze Mondial' posed the question whether the former Real Madrid coach has made history.

The ex-'Los Blancos' manager has received the accolade for the second consecutive year, in a move that would credit him as the greatest coach in history. Zidane had already won the award three times during his playing career.

After issuing the award, French magazine 'Onze Mondial' wanted to open up the debate over Zidane's legacy, posing the question: ''Is Zidane already the best coach in history?''

The Frenchman departed the Champions League winners with an impressive record of nine titles in just 875 days. Zizou had collected three Champions League titles, two Club World Cups, two European Super Cups, one La Liga title and one Spanish Super Cup.

Thanks to his spectacular success at the helm of 'Los Merengues' in such a short space of time, there are many who are wondering if we have witnessed the greatest coach in history.

In addition, 'Onze Mondial' also recognised Leo Messi as the best player of the season, a title that the Barcelona forward has already achieved on three previous occasions in; 2009, 2011 and 2012.
