The RB Leipzig midfielder would reportedly cost the Anfield club up to £70m this summer, but is the Guniean worth the money?

With speculation about a potential deal starting to gather pace, we explore the 22-year-old's qualities and where he would fit into Jurgen Klopp's side.

Despite Leipzig enjoying a fine season, finishing second in the Bundesliga and qualifying for the Champions League, the player is believed to be open to a move this summer.

Any transfer would cost Liverpool another club-record fee, with the German side demanding £70m for the midfielder, just one year after signing him for £12.75m from sister club RB Salzburg.

Keita shone for Leipzig last season, making 31 appearances in the Bundesliga, scoring 8 goals and providing 8 assists.

Stats website 'whoscored.com' claims that Keita had the fifth best average rating per match last season, with a score of 7.60, placing him comfortably in the Bundesliga team of the season.

Statistically, he was the second most prolific dribbler in the Bundesliga last season after Dortmund's Ousmane Dembele as well as the best at regaining possession.

Keita is considered to be a typical box-to-box midfielder, capable of breaking up play at one end and joining in with attacks at the other. His high energy game would certainly fit in with Jurgen Klopp's preferred 'gegenpressing' style at Liverpool.

He would fit seamlessly into any of the midfield roles in Klopp's favoured 4-3-3 system.

Former Liverpool player and Guniea international Titi Camara believes that Keita has told Leipzig that he want to join Klopp's Anfield revolution this summer.
