Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed what he thinks the future of the beautiful game will be, and it's a pretty interesting take.

Technology is becoming a bigger and bigger part of the game, with the Premier League announcing that VAR will be introduced to the league from next season earlier in the week.

Arsene Wenger has often been seen as a man ahead of his time, such as the dietry and training innovations that he made when he joined Arsenal in 1996.

The Frenchman has now predicted that technolohy will become an even bigger part of the game, and has some interesting theories.

"I've said many times, you could imagine the next chairman who says that the social networks can make a change in the second half.,'" Wenger told 'beIN Sports'.

"That will become more and more entrenched. It will happen. I personally, would not accept it. I'm from the old school in that respect. But we're going in that direction.

"It's not for me, there's something I call intuition, I grew up and used my own eyes.

"You can as well imagine that in 20 years, a robot will sit in front of you."
