'La Gazzetta dello Sport' reports that Inter have decided they want to keep Alexis Sanchez. They are now working on making his move permanent: the idea is for him to sign until 2023 with a lower salary than present. The ball is in Man Utd's court.

Alexis has managed it. He has managed to persuade Conte that he could get a place in the squad and he has shown that he could put in great performances. Therefore the board have taken the decision to get hold of his services permanently. He is currently on loan at Manchester United

And there are now details over the move which could occur. 'La Gazzetta dello Sport' says that the Italians intention is for the player to sign a contract until 2023 with a lower wage. He would rubber stamp the deal at the end of the season: first they want to extend his loan deal.

The reason is that then they could pay the amount they negotiate with United in a year's time. It would give them more time. The ball is in the English side's court as they have to give their opinion on this.

And how much could Alexis leave for? Inter want to persuade United by suggesting that it would be very good for them to release a play with a large salary like his,. The previously mentioned source says that this strategy is working well, because his price has dropped from 20 to 15 million euros.
