Inter Milan will take on Barcelona at the San Siro on Tuesday evening in the Champions League.

The match will make history in Italian football, bringing in the largest matchday receipt ever in the country at €5.8m. This means it will exceed the €5.5m that Roma v Liverpool at the Stadio Olimpico brought for the club.

Ernesto Valverde's Barcelona could seal their place in the knockout stages with just one point.

The San Siro will be full to the rafters, seating 73,500 spectators. The previous record was held by the second leg of the 2018 Champions League semi-final between Roma and Liverpool.

The vast majority of those attending will be fans of the 'nerazzurri', as only 800 Barcelona fans will make the trip.
