Steven Zhang issued a statement on Saturday denying that he intends to sell Inter Milan. In his letter, the businessman said that it was "false" and that the information was "unfounded".

The Italian media have been saying for the last few days that Steven Zhang was thinking of selling Inter Milan, but the Chinese businessman went to court on Saturday to "categorically" deny it.

Through a brief statement on Inter's website, Zhang addressed the fans and the press with the intention of curbing speculation about their future at the club.

"With regard to the rumours that refer to the possible sale of FC Internazionale Milano, president Steven Zhang denies them categorically, considers them to be false and emphasises that they have no basis," the club said.

In Italy it is claimed that the Rothschild investment bank would be looking not only for shareholders to replace Lion Rock (which holds 31.05% of the shares), but to sell the entire package held by Zhang.

The Suning Holdings Group has been the majority shareholder of Inter since 2016, and Steven Zhang was appointed Chairman in 2018. For the time being, he seems to have no intention of ending his term of office.
