According to 'La Gazzetta dello Sport', Inter will not be able to compete with Barcelona to offer a better contract to Lautaro Martínez.

New episode in the Lautaro Martínez saga. 'La Gazzetta dello Sport' informed on Monday of Barcelona's 10 million euro per season offer to convince the player even more so to join the club.

Although this proposal improves the conditions that the Argentinean has in Milan, it would still leave him far from the footballers who earn more at Barcelona. Marca' recalled that with that wage he would still be behind Leo Messi, Griezmann, Luis Suarez, Coutinho, Dembele, Pique, Busquets, and Arturo Vidal, precisely one of the men who could come in return to Inter.

The newspaper is now adequate to the new times and to to the economic state in which the big teams will be in after the COVID-19 crisis.

Furthermore, even if it's a low offer compared to other stars it is clear that Lautaro's wage would increase as the seasons go by.

With the player convinced and Inter not able to match the sum, all that's left is for Inter and Barca to reach a deal.

Inter are standing firm on the more than 100 million euros release clause, a figure that Barcelona won't be able to reach if players don't leave beforehand.
