'La Ceramica' once again sang Andres Iniesta's name on his return to Spain after signing for Japanese outfit Vissel Kobe. To cries of "Iniesta, Iniesta", the Spanish midfielder was celebrated as he started the game against Switzerland.
Iniesta started alongside felllow midfielders Thiago Silva and Koke, since Sergio Busquets was unable to play at the last minute having suffered acute gastroenteritis that left him watching the match from his hotel.
The former Barca star, was featuring in his first friendly ahead of the World Cup in Russia, and earned his 126th international cap with 'La Roja' equalling Zubizarreta's record.
This summer's tournament will mark Iniesta's last World Cup with Spain, and when the competition comes to a close, he will bid farewell to his international career as he did when he left Barcelona a few weeks ago.
