Spanish publication 'Marca' reports that Barcelona star Andres Iniesta is demanding an escape clause be inserted into any new contract at the Camp Nou.

Barcelona and Andres Iniesta remain locked in talks over a new deal for the classy midfielder, with his current contract set to expire next summer.

However, it has been reported by the aforementioned source that the 33-year-old is concerned about his ability to keep his place in the Barca side in the future, a concern which has led the Catalans to search for solutions to help make the veteran playmaker feel at ease.

The plan is for the Spanish international to renew for two more seasons, with the deal then turning into a rolling contract that can be invoked at any time. In those two years though, if the player doesn't feel like he can continue to contribute to the Barca cause in the manner that he is accustomed, he wants to be free to leave.

'Marca' reports that there has already been interest in Iniesta from China, the MLS and Qatar, with the Catalans unlikely to stand in the player's way if he decides that a lower level of football is what he wants at this stage of his career.
