Roberto Martinez, Belgium coach, took to the microphones of 'Movistar Liga de Campeones' and praised Thibaut Courtois, who will defend Madrid's goal against Liverpool. The coach believes the goalkeeper could be in contention for the Ballon d'Or if Real Madrid win the final.

One of the players to watch in this Champions League final is Courtois. The Belgian, very safe in goal throughout the season, has a great opportunity to win his first Champions League.

Roberto Martinez, his coach in the Belgian national team, went on the microphones of 'Movistar Liga de Campeones' and praised the figure of the goalkeeper, who he sees quite well.

"Thibaut is very relaxed. His greatest virtue is his emotional control. The bigger the match, the more you can see that he was born for these games," the Spaniard began.

As if that wasn't enough, the Belgium coach said that even Courtois could be in contention for the Ballon d'Or. He believes that everything will depend on what happens in this final. "If Madrid win, Thibaut could be nominated for the Ballon d'Or. He would be talked about with a win and an important role in it," he commented.
