The striker has told Manchester United he is keen to join, but first the club must meet his wage demands

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has told Manchester United he is willing to sign for them if they can offer him a wage of around £220,000-a-week or £11.3m-a-season.

It has been reported that the club and player have already reached an agreement, however these allegations are false, with Mourinho still not confirmed as United's manager and Zlatan needing time to weigh up his options.

Despite being offered a mouth-watering offer by LA Galaxy, as well as being a target of clubs in the Middle East, the Swede favours a move to United in order to continue playing at the highest level possible.

The club aren't ones to shy away from paying generously, paying club captain Wayne Rooney £300,000- a-week, and due to the fact Ibrahimovic will arrive on a free transfer, his wage demands aren't thought to be an issue for United.

Neither party is in a rush to make a deal, and it will most likely happen after Euro 2016, when Mourinho will have had time to settle in.
