Former Arsenal striker Ian Wright showed his surprise at the fact Real Madrid are now selling their best players: "You don’t get Real Madrid players coming to Manchester United. Cristiano Ronaldo and Hazard, for example, went to Madrid."

Ian Wright can be considered an important name when it comes to the Premier League. The former Arsenal striker, who was also at Crystal Palace and West Ham, talked about the league in the programme 'Kelly and Wright'.

Basically, he focussed his comments on the fact that Real Madrid had gone from signing more top players to selling them in recent years.

"Players usually go the other way. No Real Madrid player usually goes to Man Utd. Cristiano Ronaldo and Hazard, for example, went there," he said in reference to the arrival of Varane at Man Utd.

"People will say Real Madrid don’t get rid of good player but actually they do, because they just have. With the speed Varane has, you can play with a more creative midfielder. Now Man Utd have a complete defensive unit, he and Maguire can complement each other.
