Raphael Varane gave an interview to 'GQ', in which he confessed that he only has three clubs in mind for a possible retirement: Manchester United, Real Madrid or Lens. The Red Devils defender added that the option of Real Madrid is the most complicated.

Raphael Varane left Real Madrid in the 2021 summer transfer window. Once his time at Real Madrid came to an end, he headed to Manchester United. The Frenchman signed until 2025.

In an interview that the Frenchman gave to 'GQ', the defender surprised with some statements about his future retirement from football. The centre-back gave the names of just three clubs he would prefer to hang up his boots.

"I will finish my career at Madrid, Manchester United or Lens. What is certain is that I will not play for another club," said the Red Devils player. "Madrid seems complicated to me, because you don't usually go back to them. The most likely thing today is that I will retire at Manchester or Lens.

"I've been playing football since I was seven years old. Inevitably, there is a little apprehension, but not fear. Like any major decision in life, it requires careful thought and will be taken one step at a time," he concluded.
