Florentino Perez was in London to watch a host of Real Madrid stars pick up awards at FIFA's 'The Best' ceremony, but he also had time to have a little joke with former Barcelona defender Dani Alves.

"I met him in the hallway and, as always, he was very friendly," Perez told 'El Transistor'.

"We had a little joke; I told him that he should have played in Madrid and he said not to call him."

Real's president also took time to pay tribute to Zinedine Zidane, who won the award for best coach.

"Only from the humility that he had as a player has he been able to achieve everything that he has done so far," he said.

"Our success is due to the ability of the players and the good work of Zidane.

"It is not easy to manage great players; it is very difficult."
