Getafe's Carles Alena went on the podcast 'Vamos Show' and admitted that he still has Barcelona in his heart. He was asked if he would reject Real Madrid for being a Barcelona fan and he said that he wouldn't because his dream is to "play for a big club".

Spanish midfielder Carles Alena was candid on the 'Vamos Show' podcast and said that if Real Madrid ever make him an offer, he would not turn down the opportunity simply because he is an FC Barcelona fan.

"I'm a lifelong  Barcelona fan, but Real Madrid are a great team and I would never say no to a club like that," he said. "I've always said I want to play for a big team," he added.

The player, who left Barcelona in July 2021 when he signed for Getafe, was also sympathetic to those looking to continue their career in leagues such as Saudi Arabia: "They get a lot of criticism, but I can understand that there are players who go to certain leagues to earn money. It's understandable, everyone decides what they want to do and it's a reality that money is important.

"Right now I'm more eager to play in Europe and do something big in European competitions, although you also have to see yourself in that situation. I haven't had that chance so far," he concluded.
