'I left home for moments like this, I hope there are more to come'
Fresh from his match-winning performance in Wednesday's Europa League final, Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann spoke to 'beINSports' about just what the triumph meant to him.
"When I left home at 14 I wanted to experience moments like this. We've already won the Spanish Super Cup. I hope there are more to come," Griezmann declared following his brace.
With regard to the game itself, Griezmann was quick to admit that Atletico had to work for the win. "They're a good team, attacking. We worked well, we were a strong unit and we took advantage of each and every one of their mistakes," he continued.
Finally, the Frenchman was asked about the composure he displayed in scoring the first goal, saying: "I don't know if it is confidence, ice in my veins... I don't know what to call it."
Griezmann was in sensational form on the night in Lyon, with his post-match comments appearing to pour cold water on suggestions he is set to leave the club.
