Pepe spoke to UEFA and sees himself with real options of winning the Champions League this season with Porto. The Portuguese side meet Liverpool in the quarter-finals of the competition.
The Champions League is reaching its closing stages and the quarter-finals promise to be exciting. Maybe one of the more one-sided ties is between Porto and Liverpool with the English side strong favourites. In any case, Pepe spoke to UEFA and saw himself not only knocking out Liverpool, but also winning the trophy.
"I have already won three Champions League and this going to be the fourth, God willing," started the Porto defender before the game in Liverpool. "We know it's going to be very difficult against a team that plays like their manager," insisted Pepe in relation to Klopp's formations.
The ex-Real Madrid and Besiktas man asked his team not to change their style of play too much because he believes that is the best way to eliminate Liverpool.
"We have to be ourselves. We have to be the team that we have been in the Champions League, a team which fights for everything and looks for positive result, scores goals and is true to its style," insisted Pepe. The defender respects Liverpool, but thinks they are capable of winning: "We are going to do our job."
