'I don't know Neymar, but we made offer and he wanted to go to Barca'

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez spoke via videolink during Neymar's trial at the request of the prosecution. Perez revealed he did not take part in negotiations for Neymar.

Florentino Perez gave evidence via videolink in the Neymar trial. His intervention took place at the request of the prosecution. He was the second person to speak to the judge after Raul Sanllehi, former director of football for Barcelona. 

The Real Madrid president said: "I did not participate in negotiations. I think so, but a first offer of 30 million euros was made for 30 million euros. We didn't have knowledge of Neymar's agreement with Barcelona. I didn't have knowledge of having to pay any fine to Barca if I signed him," he added.

Florentino spoke clearly about Real Madrid's attempts to get the Brazilian star: "In 2011, Real Madrid made an offer to Santos for Neymar. I think it was for 45 million.
