Nottingham Forest lead the race to stay in the Premier League for another season, three points clear of Luton Town and five ahead of Burnley. However, Sheffield United no longer have any hope of staying in England's top flight and are already relegated with two games to play.

There are only two games left in the Premier League for the 2023/24 season and the relegation battle is hotter than ever. Nottingham Forest are leading the race to stay in the English top flight for another season, three points ahead of chasing Luton Town and five ahead of Burnley. Still, all three teams have a chance of securing seventeenth place with six points still up for grabs, and some of them have head-to-head fixtures against each other. Sheffield United, meanwhile, have lost their chances of staying in the Premier League. BeSoccer looks at where each of the teams in the relegation zone and how their run-ins compare.

Nottingham Forest - 29 points (-18 goal difference)

Forest at first sight are the team with the best chance of staying in the Premier League next season as they are three points clear of 18th and five points clear of 19th. Nuno Espiritu Santo's side moved off their poor form after four games without a win and picked up an important victory over relegated Sheffield United. However, the City Ground side still have two tough games remaining against Chelsea, who want to secure a European place for next season, and Burnley, who are also involved in the relegation battle.

Fixtures to come:

May 11th: Chelsea (H)

May 19th: Burnley (A)

Luton Town - 26 points (-29)

Luton Town, despite a disappointing draw against Everton, remain in the relegation battle, just three points behind Nottingham Forest. If the Hatters get back to winning ways and the Tricky Trees drop points in their next two games, they could see their chances of staying in the English top flight become more certain

Fixtures to come:

May 11th: West Ham (A)

May 19th: Fulham (H)

Burnley - 24 points (-35)

Burnley's hopes of staying in the Premier League are running out after a heavy defeat at home to Newcastle. Kompany's side are five points adrift of Nottingham Forest and have a tough task to secure 17th place as they must beat Tottenham and play for all three points if they are to go into the Forest game with a chance of staying up.
