Bayern Munich were cruising when Robert Lewandowski made it 3-0. But Hinteregger appeared on the scene twice to make it just 3-2 in three minutes.

Bayern Munich were 3-0 up at the empty Allianz Arena before Martin Hinteregger scored twice in three minutes to give Bayern Munich a major fright.

While Bayern were still celebrating Robert Lewandowski's goal, Bayern Munich were sloppy in defence from corners. Hinteregger was all on his own in the box and punished the Bavarians twice. The Eintracht Frankfurt central defender saw no opponent was anywhere near him and miscued an effort into the goal to make it 3-1.

Nerves got the better of Bayern Munich once again from a set piece. Once again from the right and once again Hinteregger appeared, this time at the near post, to head past Manuel Neuer.  The central defender became Eintracht Frankfurt's top scorer in the 2019-20 Bundesliga season. He moved onto eight goals and went ahead of Gonzalo Paciencia.

Hinteregger completed his hat-trick later on after a comical own goal. The defender tried to control with both his feet before clearing the danger, but he only managed to put it in his own goal
