Thierry Henry and Didier Deschamps returned to Monaco on Tuesday night, where their playing and managerial careers respectively started.

Thierry Henry became one of the best strikers in the world, Arsenal's top scorer and a Champions League winner with Barcelona.

Didier Deschamps has gone on to manage in a Champions League final, and European Championship final and win a World Cup as a manager.

And where did both of them start? Monaco.

The pair, who were both players in the 1998 French national side that won the World Cup, were invited to the Stade Louis II as a guest of the owner to watch the 2-1 loss that the team suffered at the hands of Atletico Madrid.

The two legends of the French game looked on as French World Cup-winning trio Lucas Hernandez, Antoine Griezmann and former Monaco player Thomas Lemar played their part in 'Atleti' beating the 2017 French champions on their own turf.
