Eden Hazard complimented Daniel Sturridge on his stunning equaliser against Chelsea and challenged the resurgent Liverpool striker to do the same against Manchester City next week.

The England international's spectacular 30 yard curler snatched a point for Liverpool on Saturday and was certainly worthy of Hazrd's compliments.

The Belgian looked to have given Chelsea a priceless victory with a tidy strike of his own, but Sturridge had other ideas after his introduction in place of James Milner.

However Hazard was not bitter and praised his former team mate, with tunnel footage revealing he told him: 'Great goal.... just make sure you do it again next weekend!' In reference to Liverpool's upcoming show down with the champions.

He later told the 'BBC': ''I said to him the goal wasn't bad, to be fair. He scored twice. One Wednesday, one today like me. Maybe he try to be like me.

''But no he is a great, great player. I had a chance to play with him a bit at Chelsea, and I know he is a fantastic player.

''He had a lot of injuries in the last few years but when he is on the pitch he can create goals like this. '

'I am happy for him but not happy for Chelsea.''
