US coach Jurgen Klinsmann named Chicago Fire goalkeeper Sean Johnson to the Americans' training camp roster Tuesday after an injury to D.C. United stopper Bill Hamid.

The swap of Major League Soccer talent came as the retired German star's side gathered in suburban Los Angeles for a training camp ahead of friendlies against Iceland on January 31 and Canada on February 5, both at the training camp site in Carson, California.

Klinsmann selected a lineup mixed with senior players as well as some of the US under-23 squad aiming to compete at the Rio de Janeiro Olympics in August.

Johnson has five caps in a US career that began in 2011 against Chile. He stopped five shots in 45 minutes in a 2-0 victory over Panama last February in his most recent appearance for the national squad.

Hamid suffered a knee injury just before camp began, the US squad said.

San Jose's David Bingham and Luis Robles of New York Red Bulls are the other US goalkeepers.

The US lineup includes Toronto teammates Jozy Altidore and Michael Bradley and veteran free agent Jermaine Jones.
