Norway missed out on the next Euros and the country's youngsters showed their disappointment after the clash. The comments of Erling Haaland were eye catching. He is not used to losing.

It is not usually easy for someone who is used to winning to accept defeat. That happened to Erling Haaland, who could not hide his disappointment after missing out on the next European Championships with Norway.

His country lost to Serbia and the Borussia Dortmund striker could not hide his disappointment after the game. "I'm very peeved. We weren't good and it's a tremendous disappointment. We had a great opportunity."

Martin Odegaard also spoke to 'TVE2': "It's a major setback. We were very prepared, but many players did not have their best day."

The veteran Norwegian coach, Lars Lagerback, was very aware of the disappointment and was offered to resign: "I don't have a problem in stepping to one side."

Norway were hoping to finally return to a major tournament after many years away, but they failed once again. That said, bearing in mind the Norwegians have a great set of young players, they could well be knocking on the door again in World Cup qualifying.
