The ex-footballer Bixente Lizarazu analysed the difficult situation which Antoine Griezmann is going through at Atletico Madrid. For the ex-French-Basque footballer, his compatriot is a victim of Simeone's unattractive football.
"He is in a team which plays football, but doesn't show offensive talent. And as Griezmann is Atletico's star and their best player, he inevitably suffers. His talent is not emphasised as much," commented Lizarazu, regarding Griezmann.
The ex-French footballer thinks his compatriot is capable of playing for Barcelona. "It depends on him", he said, as well as pointing out that the Barcelona faithful might look at him more favourably if he played for them, for the reasons previously mentioned.
Griezmann's future is once again up in the air after Atletico's setback in Turin, where they were knocked out of their own Champions League (Atletico are hosting the final), after doing all they could, economically speaking, to keep hold of Griezmann after the World Cup.
