Goretzka scored the goal of the day with a sublime backheel
Germany hosted Azerbaijan in the final fixture of their 2018 qualifying campaign. With their spot in Russia secured, the home side took the lead early on in spectacular fashion.
Leon Goretzka, the Schalke man who is wanted by Real Madrid among others, added another skill to his repertoire when he pulled off an audacious backheel to beat the keeper.
The corner was delivered with no German players getting to the ball, that came off a defender and into the path of the forward. With his back to the goal, Goretzka did not think twice to send the ball flying into the back of the net.
