While shining with France, Olivier Giroud has barely made it up to 155 minutes of play with Chelsea. Mickael Manuello, the striker's agent, is aware of the danger of missing out on the European Championship and has attacked Frank Lampard and the Blues, whom he warns will be looking for a way out in January if nothing changes.

Olivier Giroud's recent career has had its ups and down. Mainly used as a last resort that ends up reappearing to get the job done. Last season he did so again with an extraordinary final run where he managed to string together four consecutive games scoring.

However, this season is once again a complicated one for the Frenchman, who has combined a few lacklustre minutes at Chelsea with being a starter for France. He was key with two goals in the victory of 'Les bleus' by 4-2 against Sweden. A performance that has made his agent, Mickael Manuello, explode.

Giroud's representative does not understand why Lampard gives him so few minutes while he shines with his national team. "Things have changed for Olivier since the beginning of September, but the only thing that remains the same is his quality in the matches with France. Chelsea have spent up to 150 million euros on a player, but at the same time, you have to be blind not to see that Lampard has preferred to put Tammy Abraham ahead of him," he said to 'AS'.

"Frankly, it's not fair that this should be the case after the end of the season he had, but Lampard has the right to do what he sees, it's his choice," added Manuello, who threatened the board directly. Either his situation changes, or he will leave at the next market.

"If things continue like this, in December we will be at the same point as in December 2019. A lot has happened in the last five months, but we can't look at the last two and forget the previous three years," he said.

"We have to be honest: if this continues, thinking about him first and foremost, we will have to seek a change," added an angry Mickael Manuello about Giroud, who has scored 29 goals and 13 assists in his 94 games for Chelsea over the last two and a half years.
