Joachim Löw is still the Germany head coach despite reports that the German FA tried to force him to resign. They weren't willing to sack him.

Joachim Löw's position was in danger after Germany's 6-0 defeat to Spain. Reports now suggest that the German FA tried to force him into resigning.

'Bild' have reported that DFB president Fritz Keller tried to convince the coach to leave his position ahead of the Euros.

Keller didn't succeed and has now set Löw a minimum target of reaching the semi-finals at next Summer's championships.

Löw is reported to have rejected the resignation suggestion out of hand despite his recent poor results and the DFB weren't willing to formally dismiss him from his position.
