"Garnacho is a little treasure"

Manchester United striker Alejandro Garnacho made his debut for Argentina in the friendly against Australia on Thursday. The 18-year-old has been a surprise package this campaign.

His compatriot Emiliano Martinez, who won the World Cup in Qatar with the 'Albiceleste' in December, has praised the striker's performances and spoken about his progress in the national team.

"He is a very humble guy. He came to work, he didn't talk a lot. He is very eager to play. The truth is that he's a little treasure and I hope we can mould him so that he gives us as much as Angel Di Maria," he told 'TyC Sports'.

Aston Villa goalkeeper Martinez had already played with Garnacho but as Premier League rivals. The young United star could play a key role in the Argentine national team in the coming years.
