Galtier wants Aubameyang to replace Messi
If Lionel Messi does not renew his contract, the Paris Saint-Germain board could try to bring Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, currently a Chelsea player.
Messi's future is unknown. The Argentinian player's contract with PSG ends in 2023 and he has not decided where he will play next season.
As a result of this situation, PSG offered him a new contract until 2024, with the possibility to extend it until 2025. The salary offered is around 30 million euros per year.
Messi has not said anything yet about it and the coach is already thinking about his replacement. The prime candidate is in the Premier League.
According to 'Foot Mercato', a website which specialises in French transfer news, Luis Campos has targeted Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who left Barcelona and now is a Chelsea player.
Christophe Galtier, PSG's coach, knows him well from his time at Saint-Etienne and he will be delighted to have him at Paris Saint-Germain squad. If Messi decides not to stay at PSG, Aubameyang will be form a front three with Kylian Mbappe and Neymar.
Rafael Leao is also one of the candidates, one of the main players at Milan. However, his signing is more difficult because his Italian club are asking for 150 million euros.
