According to 'Radio Marca', former Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini is on the verge of joining Rayo Vallecano, a team currently playing in the Spanish Second Division.

Flamini, currently without a team, has represented Marseille, AC Milan and most famously, Arsenal over the course of his career.

The 33-year-old played close to 250 games for the Gunners over two spells with the club, including a substitute appearance in the 2006 Champions League final defeat to Barcelona.

Flamini, however, is not ready to hang up his boots just yet and according to the aforementioned source, his last team will be Rayo Vallecano.
