In 60 seconds, the stadium of Montilivi went from almost celebrating a goal by the hosts, to double heart-break as Real Madrid took the lead. Zidane's team were once again deadly on the counter-attack.

Girona drove forward in search of a goal, Pablo Maffeo cut inside and his delivery smacked back off Kiko Casilla's post.

In the blink of an eye, Real Madrid made their way up the other end. Sergio Ramos found Benzema, and the Frenchman fed Ronaldo on the left.

The Portuguese striker fired and Bounou could only parry it into the path of Isco who could hardly miss.
