Former Real Madrid and Arsenal star in talks over surprise move

35-year-old Julio Baptista, who had a spell on loan at Arsenal during the 2006-7 season is thought to be in talks with English Championship side Bolton Wanderers over a potential move.

English publication 'The Daily Mail', reports that Baptista, who won 47 caps for Brazil, arrived at Bolton's Whites Hotel on Monday and has been training with the club's Under 23 squad as he looks to earn a contract.

Baptista last turned out for MLS side Orlando City, though he has not played competitively since being released back in November of last year.

The 'Trotters' currently find themselves bottom of the English second division having taken just two points from their opening five games and face Middlesbrough on Saturday.
