Former ‘Red’ McAllister, attacked in the city of Leeds
Ex-Liverpool player Gary McAllister has been brutally assaulted in Leeds after leaving a restaurant with his wife.
The British police are investigating the situation, in which the former-midfielder is believed to have received a heavy blow to the face. His wife called for support immediately, but when the police arrived, the aggressor had already fled the scene.
McAllister was then taken to hospital, where he remained for nine hours. He received six stitches in his upper lip due to the brutal punches and is currently recovering in his home in Yorkshire.
His spouse also had to be attended for light wrist wounds caused when she tried to face up to the aggressor. The investigation is set to be continued.
