The ex-Chelsea doctor, who is still involved in an employment tribunal with the London club following her highly publicised departure in 2015, has quit football.
The doctor is set to return to Gibraltar to take up a role at a Medical Clinic, despite reports she was wanted by other teams in English football.
The former Chelsea doctor is appealing constructive dismissal and sexual discrimination against the club after she and physiotherapist Jon Fearn were openly criticised in a post-match interview for being “impulsive and naive” by Mourinho.
Carneiro and Mourinho could both be on the move, with rumours flying around that he is set to replace Van Gaal at United.
