The Brazilian defender has been currently playing for Chapecoense. He joined them after his successless career in Spain.
He was 35 years old and made 69 appearances during his three season stay in the Spanish League. He played from 2007-08 for and 2009-10 for Atletico Madrid. In his last period at the club they won the Europa League.
He made 32 appearances for Mollorca and scored six goals in La Liga.
Now he has died in the airplane crash.
