Emmanuel Eboue's life has spiralled out of control in recent years and it seems it will be hard for him to turn things around. The latest chapter in this sorry tale has seen the former player arrested on suspicion of starting a fire in Enfield, London.

Emmanuel Eboue has recently only been in the news for unfortunate reasons of late. At the end of 2017 the change in fortunes of the former Arsenal and Galatasaray player was made public.

It was a change in fortunes that no one saw coming. Financially and emotionally ruined, Eboue had to use the help of charities to get by and is practically living in poverty.

And now, another tragedy has been added to his unfortunate life. He was arrested on suspicion of starting a fire in the residential area of Enfield in London on 30th June the 'Mirror' reports.

Last Saturday the Metropolitan Police arrested Eboue, and he is currently being held at a North London police station. His last public appearance was in an Arsenal Legends match just last month.
