According to Fabrizio Romano, Nottingham Forest are working on a renewal for defender Neco Williams, whose contract with the club expires in June 2026, amid the reported interest of multiple suitors for the player.

The Midlands club are working on a contract extension for Neco Williams amid the reported presence of admirers interested in signing the 23-year-old defender, reports Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Nottingham Forest splashed out 20 million euros to sign Willians from Liverpool in the summer of 2022. And after an impressive third season, the Tricky Trees feel he has done enough to earn a contract extension.

The Wales international's current contract expires in June 2026. But, as things stand, Forest are said to be confident in completing the deal, especially with European football almost guaranteed for next term.

Forest are third in the Premier League behind Arsenal and Liverpool, finding themselves five points ahead of Chelsea, who occupy the final Champions League qualifying spot - though fifth place could also be enough.
