Five surprises we did not expect this year
The last day of the year has begun and we want to present you little football conclusion. 2016 has been full of surprises and we present you the biggest ones.
1. Leicester become Premier League winner
The British league where each year wins another club. No side won two consecutive years the tournament. Leicester City won the trophy last season and this was a big surpirse. They were about to exit the Premier League two years ago and won it this year.
2. Island kick England out of Euro 2016
Island weren't a big known football nation. It surprised everyone when they advanced up to the quarter final. They advanced very far in the tournament and even kicked out England!
3. Wales reach the semi finals
One more surprise waited for us in the Euro 2016. Gareth Bale and Wales reached the semi-final. This moment was also unforgettable.
2. Eder, King of Europe
Portugal's victory in the Euro 2016 was already unforseeable but that Eder shot them to the victory was even more surprising and made him the king of Europe.
5. Zidane's success with Real Madrid
He took Real Madrid after Benitez over. He made the team big again and won the Champions League, the Super Cup and the Club World Cup with them.
