Five breakthrough stars of the 2018/19 Premier League season

Throughout this thrilling Premier League, multiple players have burst onto to the scene with a string of impressive performances that have got a lot of people talking. We've picked out five youngsters who have impressed us this season.

David Brooks

Since signing from Sheffield United last summer, Brooks has featured regularly for Bournemouth this campaign and shown his natural creative abilities. He has played 33 times, scoring 7 goals and assisting a further 5.

Callum Hudson-Odoi

A youngster who has long been touted to reach the top, Hudson-Odoi finally got a run in the Chelsea side this season, playing 23 games and scoring 5 goals whilst also laying on 5 assists. The Englishman's performances have not gone unnoticed, and have seem him linked with a summer move to Bayern.

Harvey Barnes

Barnes was recalled by Leicester after an exceptional loan spell at West Brom in the Championship, where he scored 9 goals and assisted 7 before January. After a slow start, he started to find his feet in the Premier League towards the end of the season, scoring his first goal when he netted a last minute equaliser against West Ham.

James Maddison

The 22 year-old has been one of the Premier League's standout breakthrough talents this season, adapting seamlessly to life in the Premier League after joining Leicester from Norwich last summer. He played 36 games for Leicester in the 2018/19 season, scoring 7 goals and assisting 7 more.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka

The right-back has featured 35 times this season in the league, putting in consistently solid performances in a defensive sense for Crystal Palace whilst also creating 3 goals for his teammates - England's future looks to be in capable hands...
