Shakhtar Donestsk were defeated by Roma on Tuesday night, but the match was not without controversy thanks to striker Facundo Ferreyra.

Both sides engaged in an heated exchange prompted by Facundo Ferreyra's treatment of a ball boy with ten minutes remaining of the match.

Roma were set to progress on away goals but needed to eat up the time, leading the 26-year-old to shove a ball boy over the top of the sponsorship boarding, presumably for what he thought was holding onto the ball too long, snatching the ball away in the process.

The Serie A side disapproved of the altercation and angrily confronted Ferreyra, who received a yellow card from the referee.

The Argentina has enjoyed success in Ukraine but is notably remembered for failing to play even a single minute for Newcastle United whilst on loan there in the 2014-2015 season.
