The FA have announced on Tuesday that it will investigate video footage of Troy Deeney’s reaction to the penalty in game against Chelsea.

Watford will have woken up delighted on Tuesday morning after their shock 4-1 victory over the Premier League champions on Monday.

However, the actions of their skipper has somewhat tainted the team performance as England's football body has announced on Tuesday that they will investigate the incident.

Deeney is potentially facing a four-match ban for making an obscene gesture to the crowd after he had initially put Watford ahead through a penalty.

According to reports in England, the FA are awaiting referee Mike Dean's match report to find out whether he saw the incident before any decision is made.

If the 29-year-old is found guilty, it would be his third red card of the season which will lengthen any ban given.
