Despite England's feelgood World Cup run, the FA have been unable to secure a sponsor for the side's training kit, with Vauxhall discontinuing their support.

In the upcoming week of international games, it is looking more and more likely that England will be wearing unsponsored training kit.

The commercial department at the FA, as well as external companies that they hired to help, have failed to find a sponsor.

Vauxhall, who have emblazoned the shirts for a while now, gave notice 17 months ago that they would not be continuing their deal after the conclusion of the World Cup.

The FA haven't been helped by kit makers Nike, who have blocked potential deals with Sports Direct and Wish, due to fears that they would discount the kit too heavily.

Following the 2010 World Cup, England were also unsponsored, and grassroots campaign 'Kick it out' was put on the shirts instead.

However, an FA spokesman has said that they are still speaking to a number of interested parties.
