Experienced referee for Portugal versus Spain

Daniele Orsato, a referee with lots of experience in top level football, will be the man in charge of refereeing the game between Portugal and Spain. It will likely decide who makes it through to the semi-finals and Spain have yet to win with the Italian official.

Italian referee Daniele Orsato had been appointed to take charge of Tuesday's Nations League matchday six clash between Portugal and Spain in Braga. 

Orsato's compatriots, Ciro Carbone and Alessandro Giallatini, will be his assistants while Daniele Doveri, also of Italy, will be the fourth officials. There is also VAR for the match. 

Born in Vicenza on 23rd November 1975, Orsato has been an international referee since 2010 and he refereed Portugal 1-2 loss to Serbia on 14th November 2021 in World Cup qualifying. As for Spain, he has done the Nations League clash against Germany on 3rd September 2020 and the clash with Poland in Euro 2020 on 19th June 2021. Both matches ended in draws.

Orsato is a regular in major competitions and he did the 2019-20 Champions League final in Lisbon which saw Bayern beat PSG 1-0
