'The Best' trophy has been given out since 2016, the year in which FIFA and 'France Football' decided to go down different paths regarding the Ballon d'Or. After that, 'The Best' trophy was created, and as of 2019, only Real Madrid players have won it (Cristiano Ronaldo and Luka Modric).
The award was designed by the Croat Ana Barbic Katicic, who decided "to honour the best players in the world and inspire them. We shared the same beliefs that we should not deviate from classical conventions and to respect the familiar and well-known FIFA identity", she added.
It should be noted that the ball on the trophy is a representation of the ball that was used in the first World Cup final in 1930.
Its dimensions are 31cm and it weighs no less than 6.4kg. It is composed of 5 parts and is made of carbon and platinum.
