Former Borussia Dortmund forward is not happy with UEFA rules that prevent him from playing for Arsenal in the Europa League.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is frustrated with UEFA regulations that mean he is unable to compete in the Europa League with the Arsenal forward having had to sit out three ties so far.

Aubameyang featured for Dortmund before the group stages but then transferred to Arsenal on the last day of the January transfer window. The Bundesliga outfit have since dropped out of the Champions League which renders the 28-year-old unable to play.

In an interview with 'SkySports', Aubameyang admitted: ''When I was in Dortmund, I was playing every three days but now I play once a week or have a long time between games. It is not easy. I am really frustrated because the rules are a bit … I don’t know how to say it in English but I am disappointed because I can’t help my team. That’s life. I have to deal with it."

The forward has scored three goals in six appearances for Arsenal, most recently in the 3-0 victory over Watford, and has divulged that a lack of game time was affecting his confidence: ''It was a bit difficult at the beginning but I am feeling better. I didn't play a lot in January so it was difficult to find the rhythm. Now I am feeling better. I work hard, I have worked a lot in the last weeks and I am happy because I feel better.''

Aubameyang was also quick to extend his support to coach Arsene Wenger: ''Of course I am really happy (for Wenger) because I am here because of him. He had the interest in me so I am happy to play for him."
