Barcelona have two Dutch youngsters on their mind to strengthen their squad, but Ajax will not make it easy for the Catalan side to steal their two biggest talents.

They are two of the most talked-about youngsters in Europe, with the footballing elite seemingly always chasing their signatures.

Barca themselves tried to seal the arrival of both Dutch internationals this summer (above all, De Jong) although nothing came to fruition. Now, with January's transfer window fastly approaching, the 'Blaugrana' side look set to try again.

In response to the interest, Ajax will ask for an astronomical fee to allow both players to depart the Amsterdam Arena. According to 'Sport', the figure that Ajax will demand for the duo will be close to 130 million euros.

Barca are likely to negotiate the fee, as many would consider such an amount above market value.

Despite their potential, neither Frenkie de Jong nor Matthijs de Ligt have played outside of the Eredivisie, a league often looked down upon by Europe's bigger leagues. Even so, it should be noted that both are already shining in the Champions League this season.

If Ernesto Valverde's side manage to pull a deal off for the Dutch duo, 19-year-old De Ligt would take Gerard Pique's position at the back with Samuel Umtiti, while De Jong would be lining up alongside Ivan Rakitic and Philippe Coutinho in the midfield.
