Tottenham made it six Premier League wins on the bounce on Saturday, digging deep to secure an away win against Stoke. Goalscorer Christian Eriksen was delighted with the way his side won the game, praising their spirit afterwards.

In the past, Tottenham were seen as a team that could easily be turned over, with Alex Ferguson famously telling his Manchester United players "Lads, it's Tottenham" when they came up against the north London side.

However, Christian Eriksen believes the Tottenham of today have now proved that they now have resilience in their game. 'Spurs' took a 0-1 lead through Eriksen at the bet365 stadium on Saturday, before Stoke pegged them back to 1-1. However, the visitors showed fight and produced a winner in the 63rd minute, with Eriksen being credited for a goal that Harry Kane had initially claimed.

Speaking to 'Spurs TV' after the match, the Danish midfielder claimed his side had sent a message to the league. "I think people know by now we won't lie down," he insisted.

"When we scored, we felt like we should win 2-0, 3-0, 4-0. We had the chances to score more goals but the last pass maybe wasn't good enough."

"We had a few mistakes in midfield which gave them a lot of chances the other way and that's what kept them in the game, but we got the win again."

When asked who he thought deserved to be on the scoresheet for the winning goal, Eriksen responded graciously. "There are a lot of arguments going on around here," he explained.

"I think Harry, if he touched it, he touched it, it's his goal. How he celebrated, he had the feeling he touched the ball."

'Spurs' are now unbeaten in 14 Premier League games, 11 of which were victories, while Eriksen is in great form on a personal level, having scored five in his last three games. Tottenham's next challenge comes against Manchester City, with Mauricio Pochettino's side hosting the Champions-elect at Wembley in the hopes of delaying their title celebrations once again.
